Hotspot: Porto's Bakery & Cafe
/The first thing you will notice are the LONG lines at Porto's Bakery & Cafe but it is worth it at the end. I have been to the Glendale and Burbank location and they are both great but I prefer the Burbank location; it seems to be more efficient with better service.
All of the desserts are tasty and it'll keep you coming back. From cupcakes to pastries, everything is worth trying.
Personally my favorite desserts to buy from Porto's is the
Tres Leches Cake - a moist cake that is drenched in 3 milk sauces topped with meringue icing. It is light and delectable. All the calories gained from this cake is totally worth it.
The second dessert I would recommend is the Cheese Rolls - flaky pastry dough that is filled with cream cheese filling. It's so simple yet so gooood. If you would like to try this I would recommend at least getting 2 boxes!
If you are in L.A. visiting Porto's should be on your list of things to do.
...and if you are not interested in getting desserts try their smoothies or sandwiches. The menu is very long so you will have plenty of options.
